Ask yourself who first initiated the NI biometric registration cards? It was during Kufuor's administration and 5-6 regions have had their NI biometric details taken before 2008 election.
Ask yourself again, what has Atta-Mills and Mahamas Ndc done in 6 years of being in power to finish the NI? NDC see it fit and better to register their members and supporters with biometric registration but not Ghana.NDC THINKS ABOUT WINNING ELECTIONS BUT NOT DEVELOPMENT OF GHANA.(PEACE AND STABILITY)
Ask yourself again, this is not about NO MONEY IS AVAILABLE,since Atta-Mills and Mahama administrations, how many corruption allegations has been reported in the media?Ghana lost ¢200 million in SADA scandal, ¢952 million through GYEEDA and the payment of ¢657 million in questionable judgement debts including Woyome for no contract scandal. The total amounts to ¢1.8 billion.
CANT THIS AMOUNT AND OTHERS THAT ARE NOT REPORTED IN THE MEDIA SOLVED MOST OF THE PROBLEMS FACING GHANA AS OUTLINED BY NDOUM and other right thinking Ghanaians?
Mahama is now crisscrossing the globe for money meanwhile we as a people cant manage the little we have.As said by Nduom Ghanaians experts in IT can conduct NI biometric registration of all TRULY GHANAIANS in ten regions within the necessary possible time before 2016 election, and beyond.
Where there is a will, there is a right way.

Nana Addo and Bawumia, the failed petitioners have no whatever right to blackmail the Supreme Court. How can Nana Addo accept the verdict of the Supreme Court and refuse the recommendation for reforms?According to the 2012 elections report,we had some technical and administrative challenges that we need to address. The major problems come from the biometric equipment.I can mention few technical set backs here.1.The verification machine was unable to capture finger prints of some registered voters.2.It could not capture mulitiple registration and voting.3.It could not stop over voting.4.It could also not detect under age and foreigners. These are some of the existing problems with the biometric voting equipment. There were some administrative challenges like serial numbers, duplications, signatures of the returning officers etc.Ofcourse, identification and eligibility are part of the administrative lapses which still exist.Apparently,a new register cannot solve these problems at all.It will be wise for the political parties to come to the negotiation table and find solutions to these problems rather than just repeating the same mistakes in a new form.Thank you.

It took some people who registered for the national identification card four years to receive their cards and I am not sure if voters will have to wait for four years before they are accredited to vote. I could remember going to the National Identification Authority with a daughter of my boss, who is a Ghanaian. They told me that because girl was white she can not be a Ghanaian and they refused to attend to her. Now that NPP has said that any person with an Ewhe name on the voter register is a suspected Togolese it means that the NIA will refuse to register people with Ewhe names. Paa Kwesi Nduom and others must know that NPP has opened a can of worms so let them help them to bush the worms back into the can. NPP started this voter registration on a bad note, thus have made the matter an ethnic cleansing issue. In the face of that all reasonable beings must ignore NPP with all the contempt it deserves. The whole thing is an insult to Ewhes and those who continue to support it in anyway are insulting Ewhes including those Ewhe stooges of the NPP who are ready to hold their own mothers for someone to rape.

Several people in the country have not registered with NIA because they know so many people who have registered but have not received their ID cards.
The NIA is cash strapped; they do not have money to register the unregistered or produce the ID cards for those NIA has registered.
Nduom's solution is nothing new. Nduom is just saying the reason why the Kufuor administration (which he was a minister) introduced national identification cards. It is for the future; not 2016.
The question NDC should answer is this: how come they did not have money to strengthen NIA but was able to find money (working with NHIA) to register foreigners onto the NHIS?
