Honorable Bagbin has lost me on this one. Africa is screwed because most of its political and educated class do not have principles, morals or sense of shame and remorse. There's no room for workable, effective and principled standard that is ever going to become the conscience of an African politician, government executive or members of a goverment watchdog group. Do we not have an audit service in Ghana? At best the Ghana Audit Service is just a tool that is used to rubber stamp mismanagement at the highest offices even as auditors take bribes and look the other way. And if per chance Honorable Bagbin's suggestion becomes a reality what then should we do with the Ghana Audit Service? Is the audit service supposed to use a proposed African standards instead of the UK/European standards?
How about kicking a ruling party out of office for a period of 24 years if while in office the national debt grew even as the salary and benefits of legislators grew while national assets are sold to foreigners?
