The project was never terminated. CP just stopped work when Kufuor came to power.
When Kufuor left he presented a claim based on termination by Kufuor admininstration.
Mills , Mahama and the entire cabinet looked on and Betty Mould approved to pay 94m Euro ---$120m --500m Cedis just like that.
They never consulted the Road authorities. They never consulted Kufuor administration.

Every town, village and hamlet in Gonjaland has received a facelift with new facilities such as roads, toilet facilities, markets, mosques, good quality water projects, electricity extension projects, etc. The question is did J. J. Rawlings do the same thing to Voltarians when he was in power for twenty years? What about Atta Mills. The good old Prof was in power for three and a half years yet he was not selfish to only concentrate on his people in Ekumfi Etuam and the central Region but rather his whole thought was for the general good. No wonder under the care of Prez Mills, Ghana achieved a growth rate of 11%, single digit inflation and the smooth implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy where newly recruited police personnel received the nominal equivalence of 500dollars as monthly salary. Compare these achievements to the nepotism and selfish policies of the Mahama government that has crippled the Ghanaian economy. I really weep for Ewes and Fantis whose votes brought Mahama to power and yet are the hardest hit by the current hardship prevailing in the country.

What people, especially the Ashantis originally fail to know about themselves [the Ashantis] is that the Ashantis are generally CURSED people, due to the cruelty and wickedness their CHIEFTAINCY inflicted on innocent people after they lost their Ashantehene.
It is unfortunate that the Ashantis had proudly refused to acknowledge their wickedness and ask for forgiveness, instead they show foolish stubborness and pride. God has lowered them but they do not see it like that, because they only believe in the foolish noises they make everywhere they go.
Even about politics; they do not understand politics so they even take it to be a quarrell among people and create more hatred with politics. Yes, the following are few clear proofs of nothing good comes from Ashanti Region.
Even over language they speak Twi with everybody they meet whether an Ashanti or not, speak Twi whether one speaks Twi or not. Even at church they do not want to sing songs in other languages. The Ashantis are very very difficult people!!!!
