The in-fighting in NDC particularly in the northern sector a stronghold of the ruling party is a major disincentive in 2016.All the confrontations is largely as a result of greed and excessive lust for power.We are currently talking about the unwholesome development in the northern region.They have been serious notable problems swept under the carpet because aggrieved persons are low profile people.But that is where the major problem is because the party's grassroots is being neglected and in some instances maltreated by some old Gurus because they want to have stranglehold onto power and be worshiped as thin gods.Mr Kwetey Tetteh is contesting one of the old gurus E.T Mensah probably because he is democratic and encourage youth empowerment.Everybody who know Ningo-Prampram will attest to the fact that it has witnessed unprecedented development under E.T Mensah's long reign.People logically think E.T Mensah should give way to the youth for a viable alternative because he has been there for long and cannot be the bastion of all knowledge.In stark contrast to this scenario somebody like Alban Kingford Sumani Bagbin feels he should be worshiped as a thin god with everybody humbly submissive to him in fear and trepidation.He goes after any objective minded and assertive youth with venom when he feels opposed and threatened.This have created fear and panic among the NDC youth in upper west because of obvious threats to their lives.In fact many have fled from the party with more withdrawn and disinterested because of his oppressive and brutal tactics.So oppressive,brutal and callous to the extent of lives and jobs being lost through the 'Nadowli Mugabe's machination to have excessive powers to be exerted on hapless people.Two doctors fraudulently implicated with a mental illness and sacked from the Ghana Health Service had their letters signed by Dr Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira and copied directly to Alban Bagbin.The doctors were targeted by the Medical Director of Effia Nkwanta Dr Paul K Ntodi just because of their tribes(Ewe and Northerner)who he accused of campaigning for the Mahama Government.Alban Bagbin the NDC Health Minister conspired with Appiah Denkyira the NPP DG to sack doctors actually accused of being NDC sympathizers by Akan tribalists and NPP functionaries immediately after the 2012 election.Alban Bagbin conspired in this heinous act just to destroy particularly the doctor from upper west he has been witch hunting.What was the doctor's crime?It is because he was critical of Alijata,Mp for Sissala East who Alban Bgabin handpicked and pushed to parliament for his parochial interest.It is obvious Bagbin wants to remain the dominant political figure in upper west by interfering in the affairs of other constituencies not within his jurisdiction causing serious divisions and acrimony in the party particularly the grassroots.Anybody in the doctor's shoe who lost his job as a result of Alban Bagbin callous and diabolic scheme will certainly be bitter with happenings in this current NDC government he supported.Serious cracks under cover orchestrated by gurus like Alban Bagbin may be the bane of Mahama in 2016 if measures are not taken to repair these internal cracks and draw the grassroots closer to the party.Majority of the NDC youth in the north and grassroots are angry and hungry hence the defection to the opposition NPP.The attrition is triggered by the phenomenon of 'monkey dey work Baboon dey chop' with the Baboon now shitting on the monkey.People make a lot of noise about being card bearing members of the NDC feeling they are the authentic members.One thing they forget is that the party started as a revolutionary movement.Some of us with boys scout brigade toiled as kids during the days of the PNDC in aquaculture,farming and sanitation exercises to give true meaning to a socialist movement.Greed,corruption and power struggle now does not genuinely make the NDC a true social democratic party interested in social justice.The party largely win election because of the Founder and the ideals of the party that endear it to the majority poor masses.Most of the problem should be blamed on old guards betraying the ideals of the party for selfish personal gains.President Mahama and the current NDC executive must take the grassroots serious,do things that give true meaning to the NDC as a social democratic party if power is desired in 2016.He must also be vigilant on some gurus who are backstabbing him and turning around to blame him.
