This is why it is good to choose someone with brain to head an important ministry like EDUCATION. How do we move forward with an airhead like Ablakwa as a deputy for education and his equally bonehead Minister who knows nothing about education even though she has a PhD degree in education.
For starters, to compare and contrast the statistics(?) or fact(?) that had been put up there by that idiotic ministers, we need to think of variables data- like syllabus used, books being used or tested on, teachers who taught the students, many years in school (whether 4 or 3 yr in SHS), etc.. without information on those variables available, it is stupid to say that you are dealing with FACTS and STATISTICS. Unless that idiot is telling us that, since 2006, we had not changed syllabus or books and the test had been the same with the same teachers. More importantly, if someone graduated in 2011 or 2012, it does not mean he started his high school in Mahama's era- 2009. Certainly, they might have started SHS before Mahama came into place.
We know that, in 2001 JAK's administration came and decided to change the whole system of JSS and SSS concept and they went on with their 4yr SHS. So using 2006 students who went through Jerry Stupid School(JSS) to Stupid and Senseless School (SSS) to take a swipe at NPP is disingenuous.
Let's look at the numbers given for 2012. The fact here is, these people started their 4 yr SHS in 2008. And that was JAK's system and graduated in 2012. We can then say that probably, it was because of the 4 year system that helped them to record such a high scores? And the same goes to the class of 2011; these are all JAK's products and not Mills or Mahama products.
I hope NPP take this school boy back to classroom and teach him a few things about FACTs and STATISTICS.

What the fool doesnt know education takes years to kick in. NPP govt was able to get 31.19% of our children pass their exams and since NDC failed them to only get 19.59% pass in 2013.
28.10% pass this year means a failure to the govt. NPP was able to get 31.58 in 2012 and why is the fool thinking 71.80% of our children failing is acceptable.
NDC failed 71.80% of our children and they should hold their head with shame.

When things get to their waning stages it befits us all to look at them critically and accept opposing views to rectify them before they slump in toto. Senior Lecturer at the Department of Linguistics, University of Ghana Kofi Agyekum has said over exposure and addiction to social media is the cause of the current abysmal performance of candidates who sat for the 2014 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSSCE).
Speaking on Peace FMs morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ Prof Agyekum said students who use short hand in typing on these social media platforms tend to forget that short hand writing is not allowed during exams.
It has been reported that about 72 percent of candidates who sat for the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) did not get passes in all the papers they sat for.
Prof Agyekum said the greater part of the blame should be put on government for its back and forth attitude on whether to make senior high school education three or four years.
According to him five batches should have been allowed to complete the four year system which was initiated ex-president John Kufuor.
He said syllabuses have been reduced to theories while the role of extra-curricular activities in developing the child both physically and mentally have been completely neglected.
He accused students for taking their studies for granted and over exploiting the purpose of social media and typing with short hand which prevents them from writing words in full.
The Senior Lecturer also mentioned strikes by teachers which limit the contact hours to students. He cited the Polytechnic Teachers Association (POTAG) and that of UTAG strikes as examples.
He advised government to pay critical attention to education and roll out policies that can help improve upon education in the country.

Her performance with her background is not good and she ought to justify and make a case for improved quality education. My expectation is that if she has no work for her two deputies especially that big head Ablakwa who has turned himself into a PRO for the ministry, she should request the president to remove them and bring more matured persons with education administration to assist the professor.
