The constitution must be the supreme law of the land. There are a group of people who think they are rich but are not who have formed a secret network and are becoming a powerful group in Ghana usurping the powers of the constitution. They are gaining control of the police and the judicial system. The sad thing about this situation is that they are not wise and knowledge they have not. Their motive unquestionably is to protect their misdeeds and promote their well being. Our police and judicial system are not improving because of this phenomenon since they secretly judge cases in primitive ways and resort to solution which are draconian and the least wise. In a typical agenda of such a secret society a businessman asks a corrupt judge for a favor, the judge asks a lecturer for a favor to admit his child, the incompetent lecturer asks a politician to help him in becoming the next vice chancelor, the politician then asks the businessman for a sum of money and the deal is closed.
Clearly such a secret society undermines the constitution of the republic of Ghana and oppresses the general public.

Ghanaians have very, very short memory. Why this proposal? Our elections will be dwarfed by that of the USA, thereby enabling the incumbent to control the EC without the attention of the international community. We can schedule it a year after the elections in the US. Rawlings is the cause of this problem.

November 7 is a bad choice because it will clash with the US elections. In that case global attention will be on the US and not Ghana. Global attention on Ghana's elections contributes to the elections being free and fair. Without the global attention by countries and organisations such as the members of the G8, the EU and others, the Electoral Commission and the government of the day will be less careful.
Again, October 7 will give the incoming government clear three months to prepare and for the outgoing government to hand over.

Kofi Atta and Co. Tell me, are we still under the colonial rule of these so-called Western World? Why do we need them to supervise us for what we think doing, in our own country? It is a pity we Ghanaians do not think to show the World that, we are capble of doing things ourselves. Mr Atta, you are living in Britain, and I wish you could suggest better things for Ghana than your horrible contribution. Shame.

Who the hell cares about global attention. In any case Mr Kofi Ata, during the 2012 elections there were so many discrepancies even when the world was watching, but what happen the elections was declared free and fair with the Supreme Court affirmation. So what are you writing about. I want to ask you Mr Kofi Ata if elections held in Ghana are approved by the world, but other than Ghanaians. Why can't we Ghanaians think about doing things to the satisfaction and approval by Ghanaians . I really give my support to this laudable proposal in other to give ample time to transition and any electoral disputes that might arise from elections in Ghana. Everybody should note that what happen in 2012 elections is not going to be first and the last but going to happen in the future as well. The better we start thinking about now and make amendment than to wait till it happen again in future. Rest my case Mr Kofi Ata
