Mahama told northerners he was running for President whilst his brother Bawumia was running for Vice. Guess what? NPP made gains on NDC in the north. The only highlight for NPP in the 2012 campaign was in the north where NPP took away NDC seats. That should tell everybody that if Bawumia runs as flagbearer, NDC is DEAD.

If Alan or Akufo Addo were to face Mahama in 2016, NPP will be confirming the accusation that indeed NPP is an Akan (Asante-Akyem) party. They would have delivered Flagstaff House to Mahama on a silver platter. In fact that is what NDC will like to see on NPP ticket. However, if Bawumia is on NPP ticket, the Northerners will certainly vote for Bawumia. Now this is the winning formula; they know Mahama has only one more term to serve while Bawumia will have two terms, and that will be to their advantage. Joe Ghartey will carry Western and Central Regions with ease, and together with Ashanti and Eastern Regions, altogether making seven regions, NPP will undoubtedly be in the Flagstaff House come 2016.
I repeat, if Alan or Akufo Addo were to be the presidential candidate for NPP, they will lose the three Northern Regions as well as Central, Western and Volta Regions. NPP will be left with Eastern and Ashanti Regions which are their stronghold but will struggle to win Greater Accra and Brong Ahafo, which I believe will be a terribly herculean task to accomplish. But even if they win Greater Accra and Brong Ahafo (an unlikely event) together with Eastern and Ashanti Regions, the equation is: six regions for NDC and four regons for NPP. That will still not be enough for NPP to get them to the Flagstaff House. So if NPP wants to lose the 2016 electon then you can choose Alan or Akufo Addo as your presidential candidate. But if you want to win the Flagstaff House come 2016, then stragegise; choose Bawumia/Joe Ghartey. Remember I am not a member of any political party. I am only expressing my opinion, and I am convinced this is a winning formula for NPP if they want to unseat NDC in the 2016 election.

There is no way a new paradigm shift will bring National Pick Pocket (NPP) to power again. NPP can devise all paradigm shifts in politics, NPP will lose massively coming 2016.

It is time for Brong-Ahafo to lead NPP and not a lion in sheep clothing. You choice for a tribe first before other considerations means tribalism in mind and Ashantis are known for that. The cat is finally out of the bag. I do not think any intelligent person will accept such an offer. OK, Dr.Bawumia we Ashantis will give you the chance for being a Northerner but not qualified.
