He then attempted to confiscate the funds in those banks which belonged to Ghanaians who voted him into power. He decided to syphon money from the public purse to build a cathedral to thank his ‘god’ that helped him to deceive that same public. He appointed several ministers to help him steal from the public purse, Ken Ofori Atta (minister of Finance) using his Data bank to amass wealth from the public purse: Cecilia Dapaah (Sanitation minister) storing in a room in her house funds from World Bank for dredging rivers in Accra to prevent flooding during rainy season, etc etc etc. The president also surrounded himself with people who were set up fraudulent companies to steal from the public purse (PDS), Frontiers, the company set up to do the covid-19 testing at KIA bagged US$80.6 million and Ghana was paid only paltry US$6.4 million according to the Fourth Estate’s article dated Oct 12, 2023.
