It's about balance. The Minister is right to address this situation. Football is VERY important to the nation but the problem is the bills the GFA presents. The number of hangers on. And no one can question their budgets. As a Federation they have an obligation to improve facilities and access to the sport and raise sponsorship. But they haven't. so they keep looking to the Ministry to provide. So I guess the Minister has to see this through. He's started the fight but he has to finish it. And when he does he will have to turn his attention to cleaning up the other Federations. Because they do the same just on a smaller scale. Putting in budgets for thousands of dollars for 'officials' and completely useless people that they owe favours to or do favours for them. Nothing to do with the acutal sport or the athletes. It's a very unhealthy situation. Good luck Minister. Hope you got your back covered!

With proper management and good incentives, Ghana qualified for the first time to wC-2006 in Germany.
10yrs down the line; this time with the NDC back in power, Ghana has reverted back to the old bogus ways. The NDC is trying to destroy all the achievements of the previous gov't with their divisive tactics and crazy schemes hoping that Ghana can qualify anyway. It's a sad situation to hear the sports minister spew out garbage towards Ghana's preparation programs to WC-2018 in Russia. Why can't Nii Lantey Vanderpuije appoint his favourite coach and technical team for the Black Stars instead of causing fear and panic within the team?
