For our defensive midfield department, there should be no worry because this is a department the country possesses tones of players for. I don't know why but it seems every young and upcoming player from our country wants to play in the midfield.
If Essien and Rabiu couldn't make it, we will have more than enough players to mount there. Just that their effectiveness wouldn't be the same as when Michael himself is there. Zambia match is an example. When Rabiu was playing and couldn't handle it, I thought Essien couldn't make that big of a difference. As soon as Essien took over, the difference was obvious. That is how it is.
In simple print, we have some players in the names of Wakaso Mubarak, Agyman Badu, Yossif Chibsah, Afrie Acquah. These players' presence at this same position may not be the same, the job would be done no matter who represents us.
We wish you speedy recovery, Rabiu for we will really miss you in this coming match.

"I don't know why but it seems every young and upcoming player from our country wants to play in the midfield." I have noticed this myself and I think it says something about the temperament of Ghanaian footballers. To make a joke about the situation...a midfielder doesn't have to take much blame for not scoring goals as long as he or she is not caught in possession. However a striker's performance can easily be measured by how many goals and assists they make. I think it is very easy to convert some of our midfielders into strikers. My personal philosophy is that an attacking midfielder who is aggressive, skillful, fast, has stamina and is greedy for goals could easily be a striker. Two players I would pick as strikers to help Gyan and Waris would be KPG and Dede. This would transform the Black Stars immensely. It would allow AA now to utilize effectively in the midfield Muntari, Wakaso, Essien, Rabiu, Atsu, Agyeman Badu, K. Asamoah, Acheampong and Annan, Look at how Dede pairs so well with Gyan up front. and also how KPG is scoring goals like a striker in Shalke. Changes like this would require boldness on the part of the coach to make. Some fans would not like it but it would increase our firing power. I remember fans screaming when Milo made the bold move of playing Inkoom as a winger.

I LOVE THAT and your ID fits your comment. Brilliant IDEA!

It is looking like Egypt might want to take this game to UAE for many reasons. Win or lose, they do not have the security to handle what might happen. Even the draw had to be moved to Luxor.

MAYELE, PICK THESE PLAYERS. THAT IS UR 23 MAN SQUAD. AS THE PLAYERS DIP IN FORM, U BRING IN OTHERS WHO ARE GETTING REGULAR 90 MINUTE PLAYING TIME, WITH THEIR CLUBS TO REPLACE THEM....
GBSTARS STARTING 11......

2. OPARE, AFFUL,
3. NANA ASARE, DAVE ADDY
4. AWAL, BOYE,

WE HAVE BIG, DEEP HOLES ON THE 3 AND 7.
KASA CAN ALSO PLAY ON THE RIGHT/LEFT WINGS. PLS, DONT PLAY KASA IN DEFENCE. HE IS OFFENSIVELY MINDED.
I PICKED YIADOM BCOS OF HIS HEIGHT N POTENCY IN SCORING GOALS. HE CAN ALSO FLY ON THE RIGHT.
PLS TELL AA N KONADU TO WATCH BRAZILIAN LEAGUE. SHOW BRAZILIAN LEAGUE GAMES ON GH TV.@ ...WWW.P2P4U.NET
alos, go n watch the gh vs egypT(GYPSY) friendly BEFORE THE AFCON 2013 N WATCH HOW AWESOME AKAMINKO PLAYED.
Ghana - Egypt 10.01.2013 ON YOU TUBE
LIKE I SAID, AA MUST PAIR MENSAH N AWAL/ AKAMINKO N BOYE.
THE GH DEFENDERS MUST KEEP ALL OPPONENTS OUT OF THE GH 18 AT ALL TIMES!
AA MUST TRAIN THE BOYS IN THE DARK WITH LESS LIGHT. PLAYERS MUST LIFT METAL, AND WORK ON STRENGTH CONDITIONING.
WORK ON SET PIECES, GETTING INTO THE 18, CORNER KICKS, FREE KICKS, CROSSINGS, PENALTY ETC
IF THE PLAYERS CAN EXECUTE THESE PLAYS IN THE DARK, THEY WILL BE EXTREMELY AMAZING AND PRODUCTIVE
WHEN THERE IS LIGHT ON THE PITCH. TRUST ME!
IF AA N KONADU DO THESE, GH WILL BE VICTORIOUS!
