Renard appears to be so scared of Ghana that he always expects the worse outcome to be followed by a slew of backlash from Zambians... His answer is to hint of his eminent departure prior to the match.

This coach knows too well what it takes to play Ghana. Having worked in Ghana before, he knew how Ghanaians think or approach a match psychologically, especially a match we are sure of winning and how we have been beaten previously when we had taken things for granted and wenthave gone to sleep which turned out a fiasco or debacles in our football history.
Zambia is preparing to shock Ghana if you all care to know. Part of this preparation is psychological. "Oh, I will resign....I have resigned, I will be resigning.... I'm not happy....I want to leave....No team can beat Ghana....We don't stand a chance against Ghana" etc, etc and etc are pouring in. This is a trick my brothers! We'll be fooled listening to these crap and thinking all is well, that Zambia, will come to Kumasi, tie themselves in a ropes and stand there to be whipped silly!
Better get it straight that they will give us a hell of a fight and if possible go home with 1-0 win. Mark my words, folks.

You see, such mind games have motivated national teams like Egypt, Spain, Germany, Brazil, England and Uruguay, not the pure black man of Ghana and Africa. The above mentioned national teams have been motivated to play above themselves and won such matches according to the bookmakers. As for shocking defeats, no way! I remember before Ghana vs Brazil game in 2006 world cup quarter final match, Alberto Carlos a Brazilian defender confidenly told the press that if they knew they will not win that match, they would just pack their baggage and back home. They won't even play the match. He said this without predicting the 3-0 scoreline. And Frimans, you saw the tactical way those three goals were scored against us.
I bet you, a Ghanaian player, instead being strengthened by the stakes would prefer to go to bed leaving his doors wide opened for 24hours and concede unbelievable and cheap goals. I believe the Ghana vs. Zambia match is going to be a titanic, heart-breaking and sinew-stretching game. They will come with all gun blazing, an "all die be die attitude and obiaa nye obiaa" attitude. They are going to come firing at all cylinders, they will be stubborn, they will be hard nuts to crack, defying logic. Ghana must better prepare very well. I watched them whip Italy 4-0 in an Olympic game group match in the 80s. Well, they may not play as expected of them. They might decide to lose this one. But hey, don't trust them, don't take them for granted. It's our world - full of surprises, shocks and awesomeness, isn't it?
Meanwhile, I thank you for your compliments.

Legesse, these thoughts make you one of the few mature and brilliant minds I have I have read from in this forum for a very long time. I look forward to reading your subsequent posts. By the way, I agree 100% with your thoughts. The Zambians are going to come to Kumasi like wounded dogs hoping to fight until "death" to obtain victory. Such fighting spirit would make them very dangerous, but psychologically and tactically, it can expose them and make them vulnerable. All it takes is wisdom on the part of our team managers and players to exploit their vulnerabilities, tactically and psychologically. If we are smart enough to figure that out, I believe we can even trash the Zambians!

Haaaa you're funny, so why do you keep going up there then? It's pretty amazing to travel that height of the CN tower in just 58 seconds. Travelling 553 meters high under one minute? Oh my gosh. The scary area is standing on the glass floor and looking down, knowing very well that at least 100 floors are below that glass. Taking that Canada trip was very cool and I'm glad I did. I love Niagara, love Toronto, especially watching the entire city from the CN tower, the carnival, the skyscrapers, the water park and the people. They're very welcoming unlike my folks out here who walk pass one another as if they're enemies. Lol Pictures I took with some Caribbean girls at the carnival are nicely positioned in my photo books. Thanks for the reminder. Unfortunately, I'm not coming there this year due to some crash program at work. I however wish you all the best of the celebration, stay cool and be careful of those hot chicks out there. There's too many of them to choose from the best color, shape, height, age and what have you. BEWARE

You remember a longtime-played march between Ghana and S. Leone where we heard that the latter can't come due to economic crisis. Ghana brought them in with our own money and before our own crowd at the Accra Sports Stadium, the whipped us 2:0 because we thought poor people can't play well let alone win! We gat to be careful about these pronouncements.

The first goal was considered as a mistake, and that we are going to equalise against those :village boys" before the end of the first half and give them a severe whipping for their insolence. The stadium was filled to capacity because we wanted to enjoy having somebody whipped silly!
Then the second goal came out effortlessly by the same player and some of us began felling dizzy and wondering whether it was not just a mere dream. hoped the following day, we would be told that the match has been postponed to the next Sunday, because the Sierra Leoneans were tired. But the result is history.
