Agortor, a community in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region, is set to be transformed into a modern industrial hub.

According to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Ignatius Godfred Dordoe, the once-deprived community — long plagued by development challenges — is now poised to become one of the most vibrant urban centres in the region.

He explained that the area’s vast tracts of undeveloped land have attracted several investors who are already initiating major infrastructure projects.

“Some of the investors have begun constructing solar farms and a water system capable of producing over 30 million gallons of water,” he disclosed in an exclusive interview with Accra 100.5 FM’s Rebecca Lartey.

Dordoe further revealed that President John Dramani Mahama is expected to visit the district in the coming days to cut sod for the commencement of several key development projects in Agortor.

He noted that once these projects begin, they will create vital livelihood opportunities for the district’s growing population of unemployed youth.

He said this is a game-changer for the chiefs and people of Shai Osudoku.
