Very good advice to the President by these men of God. My worry is what did they say to Kuffour who on countless occasions interfered with the independence of the Judiciary? Where were they, when Kuffour set aside the judgment of a High Court, reconstituted the Court of Appeal by adding three NPP judges just to jail Tsatsu Tsikata? Where were they when Kuffour set free jailed drivers during the heat of the 2008 presidential run-off after the NPP foot sholdiers went beserk? Is is because NPP party deserves more pardon for their members than NDC? This is the crux of the matter. When you refuse to speak, at the appropriate time, you lose credibility. This the men of God ought to know.

Is it acceptable for a president to call for judicial review by appointing additional supreme court judge in order to achieve that purpose? Do we as country repeal article 72 in the 1992 constitution? Since we haven't repealed that article in the Constitution of Ghana, the president can be lawfully petitioned to use the powers given him by the constitution. So hypocrites must stop those ugly noise.

It is unfortunate most of our religious leaders only comment on issues that concern the NDC and are quite when other parties are concern.

This country is a funny place to live in. We have thousands of ministers of various religious persuasions but hardly will they condemn actions by certain members or groups of society. Are they not thé Pharasees Jésus was alluding to ? It also equally true that silence is golden indeed. With the Président being silent on this issue, see how people are falling over head over heels as to what thé President will do over the numerous calls over his exercise of Art. 72 of the Constitutiôn. If this is the way we Ghanaians are going to behave henceforth, then this nation has no future. The hypocricy, liés, hatred, over-politicisation of issues, indiscipline and dishonesty is what will lead to our doom as a nation. Can we pausé for a moment and say never again. So in the event Nana Addo becomes the président of Ghana is that how everybody will be compelled to imbibe anything hook, line and sinker that he will say because çoming events cast their shadows. Interesting times really lié ahead for Ghanaians.

Mr. Asante, every body knows you speak for only NPP. You must stop this to earn your respect. When Kenedy Agyapong did it you saw nothing wrong about it.Mahama caused all these. In the first why should Mahama select Georgina Wood whilst there are other competent people in the NDC. His mistake took us round unnecessary election petition and you and I knew the effect it had on the economy. The same he had chosen the EC boss. Mr. Asante stop this, we are all watching your onesidedness.

Jcoab Kporfor, it was former President Kufuor, not President Mahama, who appointed Justice Georgina Theodora Wood as Chief Justice. He did so by promoting her over and above all her seniors on the Supreme Court. At that time, Justice Kpega was the acting Chief Justice, who should have automatically been made the substantive Chief Justice. However, Kufuor was so pleased with the way and manner in which Mrs. Wood, a staunch NPP lady, handled a cocaine case that he rewarded her that way.
In other words, Kufuor had made Wood the chair of a commission he set up to investigate the missing of cocaine from the Police Headquarters in Accra. A huge amount of cocaine had been seized from the ship Benjamin and deposited at the Police Headquarters. Then the Police Service, headed by an Asante man and his deputy also being another Asante, announced that the cocaine had mysteriously disappeared. Although it was revealed during the commission's sittings that some of the cocaine had been traced to the Manhyia Palace of the one occupying the Sika Ogua Kofi, Mrs. Wood curiously and strangely announced to the world at the conclusion of the commission's sittings that its findings had been inconclusive. She thus nipped in the bud the sorry cocaine case. All this happened in 2003.
This corrupt lady thus saved President Kufuor, his NPP--remember this party was dubbed during the Kufuor administration as the "Narcotic People's Party"--the Asante Inspector-General of Police and his deputy as well as the Paramount Chief sitting on the so-called golden stool. This so pleased President Kufuor to the extent that he quickly promoted Georgina Wood to the position of Chief Justice. (You know how corrupt Kufuor and his administration became). So, it was not President Mahama but Kufuor who appointed Georgina Theodora Wood to her current position of Chief Justice.

Rev. Prof. Asante, Rev. Prof. Martey, Most Rev. Joseph Osei Bonsu and all you NPP aparatchicks, did former President Kufuor early in his administration undermine the judiciary when he yielded to the advice of his lawyers and you NPP aparatchicks by increasing the number of the Supreme Court justices from 9 to 12 to overturn their earlier decision of "Not guilty" to "Guilty" against Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata? What's remarkable and so surprising about you NPP big guns is your shameful hypocrisy. Why didn't you raise your voices when Kufuor tampered with the composition of the Supreme Court? Why didn't you see anything wrong with that?
Which is more dangerous, a president suddenly increasing the number of the justices on the Supreme Court with three of his favourites purposely to overturn their earlier decision that he didn't like or a group of people collecting signatures of at least one million people in order to appeal to the President to grant pardon to three citizens who were given harsh prison sentences? But is granting pardon by a president unprecedented in the history of Ghana? Did Presidents Kufuor and Rawlings not grant pardon to some people during their administrations?
Is it fair also for the Supreme Court to be the prosecutor and judge in a case involving themselves? Isn't that questionable? Is that justice?
You these NPP hypocritical clerics, God is surely going to judge you since you've consistently and persistently seen things only from your perspective that favours you and your overall political agenda.
