Okudzeto Ablakwa, Sam George and 15 others sworn in as ministers

President John Dramani Mahama has officially sworn in 17 new ministers to assume key positions in his administration.

Their swearing-in follows Parliament’s approval of all ministerial nominees after a thorough vetting process and extensive debates in Parliament.

The newly sworn-in ministers include Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Minister of Labour, Jobs, and Employment; Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology; Samuel Nartey George, Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations.

The rest are, Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation; Joseph Bukari Nikpe, Minister of Transport; Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Minister of Health; Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications; Seidu Issifu, Minister of State in Charge of Climate Change and Sustainability; Charity Gardiner, Regional Minister of Ahafo; Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu, Savannah Regional Minister; Wilbert Petty Brentum, Western North Regional Minister; Joseph Nelson, Western Regional Minister; Joseph Addae Akwaboa, Bono Regional Minister; Francis Owusu Antwi, Bono East Regional Minister; Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere, Central Regional Minister; and Puozuing Charles Lwanga, Upper West Regional Minister.

The ceremony, held at the Jubilee House, was attended by government officials, Members of Parliament, and other dignitaries.
