The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced an immediate crackdown on unauthorised media appearances, ordering all party communicators to submit to a centralised approval system or face consequences.
In a statement signed by the Director of National Communications Office (DNCO), Godwin Ako Gunn, the party declared that starting Monday, May 15, 2026, "fully control representation on all media houses" will be enforced.

"Anyone who bypasses our regional communication officers, panel placement teams and the national communications outfit will have his or herself to blame," it warned.
The NDC further urged its members to steer clear of controversial topics and instead promote the party’s record since taking office.
"This is an appeal to all of our communicators to stick to matters of our exceptional performance these 17 months, the ongoing reorganisation of the party, job creation and issues of our collective good as a party and a nation," the statement read.
It also explicitly cautioned against being drawn into debates that could shift public scrutiny away from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
"No one should be lured into any subject that will turn the guns on us and take the pressure off the mess the NPP is in", it added.
