Ghanaian youth have been charged to demonstrate high sense of patriotism by voting massively for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to address the bottlenecks stalling the country’s progress.

In an interview with asempanews.om, Edmund Kyei who is a member of the NPP’s communications team took the ruling NDC administration to task for what he termed as the numerous unfulfilled promises.

According to Mr Kyei, President John Mahama’s incompetence and the prevailing corruption have led to unbearable hardships on Ghanaians, particularly the youth.

The NPP firebrand says despite the myriad promises by the NDC, there has been no significant improvement in the lives of Ghanaians, hence the need to vote the NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo to salvage the dwindling fortunes of the country.

“We were told in 2012 that we should vote for John Mahama because he was young and dynamic. But after five solid years, the question is, what has the NDC done for us? What we have witnessed is the unprecedented stealing in the name of job creation.

Touching on specifics, Mr Kyei mentioned the collapse of some social intervention programmes, which according to him, were beneficial to downtrodden in society.

“Under President Kufuor the NPP created social intervention schemes like the NHIS, free maternal care programme, school feeding etc. But the plight of Ghanaians have worsened under President Mahama today.

Against that backdrop, he called on voters to reject the NDC’s propaganda and lies against the NPP and vote for Change based on the fact that the NDC has failed to address their problems.
