I would pin-point the NDC administration as the cause of this unnecessary deaths. Instead of equipping the hospitals, Mahama used huge money to buy cars as gifts to his friends and relatives. NDC intentionally left the hospitals in that state, yet the little we had was also set ablaze by the workers at CMS just as Captain Smart has told us. Those who did the burning deserve death, PERIOD.

A community based prenatal and postnatal services in a nation - wide clinics and community service centers will surely be a step in the right direction since knowledge deficiency is in-built in our culture. One person encouraging and helping at least one pregnant woman to get a periodic prenatal care will, l am sure, greatly reduce the outrageous mortality rate of infants in Ghana. What an opportunity for churches and mosques to show their civic responsibility!
