That is the ultimate result when we refuse to think outside
the box. Whoever fixed the retirement age at 60 did it for a reason BUT to think that it will be easy to replace experience and competence with age then one must be living in another world. Look at what is happening with the education sector. We now even have an association of ONLT graduate teachers but the results continue plummeting and the association always crying for more benefits. Unfortunately gone are the days when teachers were paid based on results (payment-by-results). Most of these NAGRAT members would have been unemployed
Midwives will not be easy to replace any time soon.

A few days later, Ben spills a glass of milk on the floor and says, "Mommy, I need your black sponge to mop up the milk!"
She replies, "I lost it, honey."
A couple of days later, he comes running up to her and says, "Mommy, I found your black sponge!" Mystified, she says, "Where, honey?"
Ben says, "It's over at Miss Mensah the Midwives house, and Daddy's washing his face in it!

THE NDC IS STEALING THE MONIES TO BE USED TI PAY THESE RETIRED DOCTORS AND MIDWIVES ARE BEING USED TO RE-BRANDING BUSES WITH THE THIEVING, PROMISCUOUS AND FORNICATING MAHAMA'S COLORED PICTURES. STILL SOME FOOLISH GHANAIANS ARE GOING FOR THIS THIEVING MAHAMA/NDC GOVERNMENT BECAUSE HANNA BISIU, FOR INSTANCE DISTRIBUTES PACKS OF MATHES FOR RURAL PEOPLE. HOW FOOLISH MANY GHANAIANS ARE.

Unnecessary alarm. The ministry has established not less than thirty midwifery training schools to solve this problem. Not less than 1,500 midwives will be turned out by next year. This will progressively increase to abt 2500 per year in the next two years. We may loose their experience but they will not leave any void in the health delivery system.

You seem to have information that appears to contradict what Dr Appiah Denkyirah suggets. Why try to retain the 500 if you are indeed producing so many. The midwife patient ratio quoted is tragic

I feel like crying for our midwifes who has worked all their life time and their accumulated pension and retirement benefit our criminal president John Dramani Mahama has sold their bank and retirement to a private individual as they are going on retirement the individual is taken 90% of this retirees benefits and they that has work their life time is getting 10% and I feel very sad for the midwifes and as the president brother did not appeal to the own to comes forward shows Merchant bank is his.Is this look like president John Dramani Mahama cares for Ghanaians? All works let this be a lesson to you coming 2016 vote for NPP to take your pension from this bank for you to get your 100% benefits and not criminals to take 90% of your benefits.
