CAN AFOKO DO FOKO?
I want someone to prove me wrong: that the NPP is being pursued by demons, and those ruthless "gbeshie" spirits are led by Belzibub himself, and they come in camboo shoes so leaders and members of the party do not perceive ominous signals.
Somebody should tell me that I'm lying!
Hehehehe, as soon as I saw "rise" in Nana Akufo-Addo's tour theme, I knew it was going to be followed by a "fall". The other day, a friend of mine was referring to Nana's "Rise and Build" tour as R&B (Rice and Beans) tour. I love the malapropism here, and this reminds me of the late Ghanaian actress, Araba Stamp who was popular for his malapropism, "fried rice and kitchen."
Please wait a minute: Agyeeeeei, I saw some interesting scriptures today. Proverbs 20:30 "Blows and wounds scrub away evil, and beatings purge the inmost being." Proverbs 18:6 "The lips of fools bring them strife, and their mouths invite a beating."
Oops! Who just wrote on my screen, LMVCA? I have told you people I don't want trouble oo. Please desist from putting words in my mouth. I never mentioned any name please!
And it happened that Nana's Rice and Bea... eiii, sorry, Rise and Build tour has ended up in a Rise and Fall tour. Why am I saying this? The NPP's woes have deepened after his tour. Chairman Paul Afoko has been suspended indefinitely by the National Executive Committee of the party. There was a display of all-die-be-die antics during the meeting, and the party’s private security, the Invisible Forces burnt a motorbike and destroyed the windscreen of a taxi cab.
Many party activists are angry as a result. An NPP "militant" group Bolgatanga Bull Dogs (BBD) in a press release has threatened to scuttle the electoral fortunes of the NPP in 2016 because of the suspension of their National Chairman.
What even makes the issue more serious is that some party Stalwarts have started baring their teeth, and Andrew Awuni, a former Press Secretary to former President Kufour is one of them. He spoke on Neat FM some hours after the suspension. Hear him:
"Between the last two elections, an amount of over 100 million dollars has been disbursed into the party's coffers.Where did all this money go? Adakabre, what is going on is all about the control of the party's finances and useless worshipping of a human being. Recently, 3 million Ghana Cedis was released to the party. Kwabena gave each constituency an amount of GHC10,000. This flared up emotions because the money was not released to the executives to spend lavishly. Subsequently another 45 million Ghana Cedis was released which landed on the laps of Abankwa, then the battle began. So aren't they seeing what Mahama is doing? Making the NDC so attractive today!" Tankweeew, Mr. Awuni, I'm glad you have also seen the magic of the young man from Bole.
That notwithstanding, the near octogenarian flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo seems to be saying Tweeaa to those livid activists by endorsing the suspension. He confirmed in a statement: "I have been apprised of the decision taken by the National Council of our great party to suspend Mr. Paul Afoko.
Having satisfied myself that due process was rigorously followed in arriving at this decision, I welcome and fully endorse it."
But more worrying is the beleaguered chairman's statement that he is still at post.
In a show of defiance, Mr. Paul Afoko, in a press statement said that his purported suspension is unconstitutional, and therefore, the decision taken by the NEC is null and void; so, he is still the National Chairman. The question many are asking is that can Afoko do foko? My answer is that time will tell. Let the music in the camp of the Elephant Family keep playing on. Kikikikikiki, enjoy Lionel Richie's "All night long."
Well, my friends, the time has come
To raise the roof and have some fun
Throw away the work to be done
Let the music play on
(Play on, play on)
Everbody sing, everybody dance
Lose yourself in wild romance
We're going to party
Karamu, fiesta, forever
Come on and sing along!
We're going to party
Karamu, fiesta, forever
Come on and sing along!
We're going to party
Karamu, fiesta, forever
Come on and sing along!
All night long! (all night)
All night long! (all night)
All night long! (all night)

Any palm oil mixed with chemicals is not palm oil, palm oil should be prepared without chemicals.
I go to Ghana every year sometimes twice a year and I buy my oil from the locals not from Makola Market, but don't get me wrong, there are genuine ones among them, the good ones are more than the bad ones.

My friend, it is the warped minds of people like you that perpetuates backwardness in Africa.
You should be ashamed of yourself for immediately jumping to the defence and rescue of these evil criminals who should be duly shot and dispatched to the other world for doubtlessly killing many 'unknown' fellow-countrymen and women in their reckless quest to make money at the expense of the health and life of others. How can any sane Godly person defend this?
We all know what palm oil is and how palm oil has been produced from time immemorial by our ancestors. Why did these criminals 'sex up' the palm oil with chemicals whose properties they did not know?
There can be no excuse for these evil creatures who without doubt, have caused immeasurable human suffering to many innocent people who have died in their simple quest to just eat a decent meal cooked with palm oil.
As for the FDA I do not have any respect for them. It seems that they are more interested in maintaining their privileged positions than caring about the health of citizens. The fact that they were alerted by another country thousands of miles away clearly shows that they are not up to their game. In fact I do not blame them and the incompetent govt that appointed them to run the FDA. Everywhere one looks, one sees serious problems threatening the health and living conditions of the citizens of Ghana. The country has effectively collapsed and we are only living by the grace of the Almighty.
I am not a scientist of any kind yet I have been complaining about the strange after-taste and feeling in my body after eating food that is cooked with palm oil, for several years. I did not know until now that this is what was happening to our palm oil which apparently has been the cause of my discomfort.
However, not only do I also know for a fact that industrial dye was being openly used to color roast pork, tomato paste and salted beef but also, formaldehyde – a chemical that is apparently used to preserve dead bodies, is also being used to preserve salted beef for sale to the general public. This is an open secret that is known by all who care to know, except the FDA, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Health and the Govt of Ghana.
There can be no punishment that is too harsh for people like this as well as those who produce and knowingly sell fake drugs for the sick.
To make matters worse, our clueless and incompetent govt is also encouraging the importation and production of GMO foods into and in Ghana by foreign interests.
The situation has got so bad that food and what to eat has actually become a problem to the extent we do not know what is safe and healthy to eat anymore.
Is there any hope for us and our children??

I doubt if the sellers intentionally put Sudan III in their palm oil to adulterate it. They need to be educated as well as the general public to do away with the perception of quality of palm oil.

Other than that, you are free to drink all the carcinogenic palm oil available as well as eat all other foods that have been adulterated with cancer-causing substances. When I was in Ghana year ago, an electrician who knows about this diabolical misdeed told me that, Ghanaians who live abroad used chemical-adulterated palm oil. He told me never to buy pal oil abroad. This is very wicked. I remember having eaten food prepared with palm oil ten years ago, I felt nauseating and even vomited afterward, I had made what I thoughtwas a delicious okro stew with bank.
A lot of traders in Ghana could be very greedy. Ghana(Gold Coast) was once the world leading producer or natural rubber, some of the tappers filled the dried latex with fufu to gain extra weight for money. It was not long and the obroni stopped buying wild natural rubber from us. The solution was to get some from South America and later establish rubber plantations.
