No action is being taken to increase the yield. Yet we have agric minister with his deputies. What work are they really doing? Either they are not effective or they have chopped all the cash & now we are left with bones. They ride in V8 with free fuel, accommodation, allowances etc & they have conditions of service. God have mercy on our dear country, Ghana.

WHAT AN UNGUIDED STATEMENT FROM A WHOLE MINISTRY AN OUTBREAK(AVIAN INFLUENZA) IN YOUR COUNTRY AND YOU A MINISTER COMES OUT BOLDLY TO SAY YOU ARE YET TO CHECK ON SOME FARMS " BACK YARD POULTRY FARMS". SOME YES AGO THIS COUNTRY WITNESS VET OFFICERS WHO WENT ROUND EACH DAY IN OUR INDIVIDUAL HOUSES TO INJECT DOGS FOR THE PREVENTION OF RABIES AND TIME TO TIME CAME BACK TO CATCH DOGS WHO WERE NOT INJECTED BECAUSE THE VET OFFICERS USUALLY ISSUE A WARNING TO THOSE WHO DID NOT IN ANY WAY GIVE CHANCE FOR THEIR DOGS TO BE INJECTED. BUT IN THIS SITUATION/INSTANCE THE WHOLE COUNTRY HAS BEING DECLARED A BIRD FLU ZONE ( THAT'S TRUE TELL SOME OF US QUESTIONED THE AFFECTED ZONES/ AREAS BEFORE THE MINISTRY THEN CAME WITH AREAS LIKE ACCRA AND VOLTA) BUT THE MINISTRY IS TELLING GHANAIANS THAT THEY ARE YET TO CHECK ON SOME FARMS FOR THIS OUTBREAK, THE MINISTRY HAVEN'T EVEN RELEASED FUNDS TO SAVE THE SITUATION ARE WE REALLY SERIOUS AS A COUNTRY.
