Every town, village and hamlet in Gonjaland has received a facelift with new facilities such as roads, toilet facilities, markets, mosques, good quality water projects, electricity extension projects, etc. The question is did J. J. Rawlings do the same thing to Voltarians when he was in power for twenty years? What about Atta Mills. The good old Prof was in power for three and a half years yet he was not selfish to only concentrate on his people in Ekumfi Etuam and the central Region but rather his whole thought was for the general good. No wonder under the care of Prez Mills, Ghana achieved a growth rate of 11%, single digit inflation and the smooth implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy where newly recruited police personnel received the nominal equivalence of 500dollars as monthly salary. Compare these achievements to the nepotism and selfish policies of the Mahama government that has crippled the Ghanaian economy. I really weep for Ewes and Fantis whose votes brought Mahama to power and yet are the hardest hit by the current hardship prevailing in the country.

When the great Bishop of Lighthouse Church delivered his speech before the national audience a few weeks ago he stressed upon "Wisdom" as a lacking and needed element in leadership and prayed for the nation for God's mercy over it. It is very evident that our leaders lack wisdom. Almost every decision by this administration is flawed with terrible mistakes and unreasonableness. Our conditions are exacerbating each day due to unwise decisions and administrative negligence. Driving down the Madina Adenta Highway one must not be adept in highway science to conclude that overhead walkways intended to help pedestrians at congested areas are placed miles away from intended targets. Going further ahead on the Peduase-Akwapim hills , a boulder of Rock torn from its hinge hangs directly over the highway, ready to fall and kill. Amidst this threatening environment is the presence of leadership hard to understand its quality or usefulness to the safety of the Ghanaian people.
We are now struggling to deal with hardships associated with the power outages - diseases, business closures, crime, hunger, fire outbreaks, deaths, filth, school class curtailments and closings and many more miserable conditions.
Is this the right time and environment to experiment on us over the deadliest disease ever recorded in history of mankind ? Are our leaders wise ? No explanation or justification will be enough to mitigate the seriousness of this flaw aimed negligently at destroying our peaceful livelihoods. Rumours fly all over in Ghana that the vaccine has already been administered on some people and a few report having fever and headache. If such rumours are true they would spell doom and sadness for this nation once considered free from Ebola amidst a cluster of West African nations ravaged by this deadly disease.
WHAT ON EARTH STRUCK THE MINDS OF OUR LEADERS TO SUBJECT THIS NATION TO THIS FATAL END OF A PEOPLE ?
THE PRESIDENT - THE MINISTER OF HEALTH - THE PARLIAMENT - THE COURTS WHICH COULD HAVE ISSUED ORDERS TO STOP THEM - THE ADVISERS TO ALL THESE SCUMBAGS ? WE ARE TIRED OF BEING SUBJECTED TO MISERY.

Vaccines help the body to prepare antibodies that will fight the disease the vaccine is made for. Currently there is no treatment for Ebola. Some patients survived because their bodies developed antibodies . Would you choose to vaccinate and stand a chance of survival if there is Ebola outbreak or you wait for the outbreak and pray. A lot of infectious diseases have vaccines like Tetanus, measles, mump, rubella, polio,diptheria to mention a few.
In Ebola stricken countries patient that had the disease cannot take part in the trials because their bodies have already developed antibodies that the vaccine is supposed to do. However, the trials are currently going on in those countries after it had been tested in humans from US and UK.
Ghanaians will have access to vaccines that are tested in Ghanaians if the trial goes on and successful. Ghana should try to manufacture these vaccines as well. Check FDAGHANA.gov. Gh
