58 years after independence! Are you serious? Even with the doctors at post, health outcomes are getting worse. Maternal mortality is soaring at selected hospitals due to poor staffing and lack of infrastructure, many men are walking around with urinary catheters due to shortage of urologists, quality of education on the decline, rising unemployment for the youth, unreliable power supply, etc. The average young Ghanaian is preoccupied with leaving the country (or becoming a politician) in search of a future in the US, Europe or anywhere except GHANA. Probably it's not too late to bring back the colonial masters. Clearly, we are independent of PRODUCTIVE self governance. With the colonial masters at work, there will be no need to travel abroad for greener pastures and those abroad will come back home. HOME is HOME. God bless Ghana.
