This is a mischievous criminal act by a bunch of useless youth with idle hands.The youth in Upper East have a habit of excessive drinking and idling around in lousiness instead of engaging in productive ventures.The other fantasy for them is engaging in useless and unproductive political discourse with all the ignorance in politics apart from manipulation by suspecting greedy politicians who feed fat on their back.One basically may be a stupid idiot but even in that sense an idiot can be useful by not engaging in diabolic acts detrimental to the health and development of his community.In other words a wise and humane thief with empathy should know what to steal and what not to steal.Talking about good motorable roads and ambulance service is an unfortunate coincidence about the sort of dirty and destructive politics played in the north.Dr Avea Nsoh another developer became a victim of political persecution born out of greed because of his stance in developing the Bongo road though i am not sure of the extent and mileage.The chickens are now coming back to roost because ignorant characters with idle hands don't understand politics is all about disagreeing to agree on developmental issues rather than confrontation and sabotage.Though i agree emergency ambulance services is important in reducing maternal mortality there are far more major factors contributing to maternal deaths in those remote areas of Bongo mention.Key demographic social variables such as poverty,ignorance,cultural believes and of course education are far more crucial than good road network.One is basically thinking of health education and health programme modules used in these areas as part of health intervention in reducing maternal mortality.How intensive and effective are health education programmes in these areas targeted at reducing maternal mortality.How many competent TBAs,Community midwives and CHPS compound or health centers are in these areas and how effective are ANCs run?With hindsight of the epidemiology in Upper East Region i have a problem with the disease prevalence and associated mortality except it is a deliberate act of omission best known to the RHMT.I am shell shocked that RTAs(motor bike related deaths) and Chronic liver diseases including Alcoholic liver disease related deaths have not been mention in the 2014 Regional Review presentation.Nevertheless Awoonor-Williams is a hard working affable young man, a true developer ambitious in achieving the best for his country.He is not one of those who fight for position to loot and steal to satisfy parochial interest.Corruption without hard work to enrich himself is never his way.This young man should be ear marked for the position of Director General,GHS or Health Minister in future.The Upper East Region is lucky to have him.

Ghana Health Service hierarchy interdicted by Attorney General Department for a whopping 8 million financial malfeasance.We are talking about 80 billion old ghana cedis looted into individual accounts for no work done.It is not surprising that Appiah Denkyira Director General,Ghana Health Service sacked doctors from Effia Nkwanta hospital because they complaint and reported corruption killing patients in that hospital.More so a whole DG stooping that low to dubiously engineer and fabricate mental illness on subordinates on grounds of nepotism and politics to cover Akan cronies involved in the rot leaves much to be desired.I cannot believe that a whole DG will ignore reports of a teenager who died in Effia Nkwanta because she could not pay 50 ghana cedis bribe for blood transfusion to sack doctors opposed to this cruel act of dirty money making at the expense of patients lives instead of investigating on an obvious criminal act.Is the GHS and for that matter the health sector safe under Appiah Denkyira;the tribalist,nepotist and politician?
