We have heard of the seriousness of Ebola and how disastrous it is to our neighbors to the West of Ghana.
Donors are queuing to send items to prepare our Hospitals for this deadly epidemic. Ghana is not making this any easier. Recipients of medical support items are being asked to pay 5x the actual cost of these donor items. How can we protect our citizens if donations of Ebola Protective Items to protect Ghanaian Healthcare are being held hostage by Customs.
Ghana should lift all restrictions and allow these items to help prepare the country for safety if Ebola jumps across the border into Ghana.
If it can make it to the U.S.A....it is just one step away from entering Ghana.
This is pure common sense....do not punish recipients of donations from overseas by asking them to pay 5x the cost of donations. They could buy it themselves if they had that money to pay these extra ordinary fee or tariffs that is thrown at them. Sorry but I am appalled at this policy that makes no sense nor help our citizens in any way.
Please can someone say something to help Ghanaians.
