Two freshly severed human heads wrapped in cellophane were reportedly discovered at a hotel restaurant which served human flesh, according to a Nigerian newspaper.
Police officers apparently made the grim discovery after receiving a tip-off about the eatery in the state of Anambra, Nigeria.
Authorities, who also seized two AK-47 guns and other weapons, said roasted human head was even on the menu, it has been reported.
A pastor, who is thought to have visited the restaurant, is quoted as saying: ‘I went to the hotel early this year, after eating, I was told that a lump of meat was being sold at N700, I was surprised.
‘So I did not know it was human meat that I ate at such expensive price.
‘What is this country turning into? Can you imagine people selling human flesh as meat.
‘Seriously I’m beginning to fear people in this part of the world. ‘
Another resident told the newspaper: ‘I always noticed funny movements in and out of the hotel. I was not surprised when the police made this discovery.’
The restaurant was shut down and 11 people were arrested following a police tip-off about the unusual menu items, according to tabloid the Osun Defender.

Every gain we made as a nation from 1957 thru 1980 has gone down the toilets and I do not believe this talk of the "new middle class" as Ghana has never grown the middle class. The so-called middle class is not a new phenomenon as it has always been part of Ghana but in a very holistic way as they supported the less fortunate ones in their families that created social cohesion directed by spiritual and traditional morality.
Now all these support system were eroded even though we say we have more selfish class, opps, middle class and more faith based. In my opinion less of us are truly leaving the true middle class life style our parents had. There environments were cleaner than ours. The primary and middle schools they sent us were much better than today's.And two out of their average three children are unemployed today. That means 10,000 middle class parents from 5,000 house holds with 15,000 children in the 1970/80s are now have 5,000 of their 15,000 kids just bare living the life style of their parents as their parents now retiring. That picture shows that 10,000 mum and pop now have only 5,000 of their kids replaced them in terms of lifestyle. Half of the remaining 2/3 may be in Europe or the Americas as nothing but check to check working class with no ability to come back home to settle.
The situation is frightening and it needs some serious psycho analysis to diagnose it in order to find a holistic healing to it in forms of both traditional and spiritual.
LET US STOP THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL NOW.
NEXT FROM DOG MEAT TO OUR OWN BABIES?
We are becoming lazy to farm, to rear animals, so now if all the free dogs are finished what will be next on the plate? Your guess is just as wild as mine and as no discipline or fear and no sense of good and bad directing our youth and future leaders, nothing can be ruled out.

As for dogs, it has always been an Asante delicacy albeit the usual practice of eating/chewing them in hiding.

I read an article in the New York Times, many years ago, where they stated that certain types of dogs were imported from Asia, and were classified as expensive exotic delicacies for a wealthy and exclusive class of people in New York City.
I am stating these facts to ease the fears of those who at the slightest chance claim that they are ashamed of being Ghanaian/African, I call them the "ASHAMISTS", fear not, for you are in good company, dog meat is consumed worldwide by the verv wealthy as well as the very poor.
According to this article, the price of dog meat is more expensive than goats and sheep, so poverty can't be used as a reason why some Ghanaians choose to consume dog meat.
