    Kwabena Agyei Agyapong had a terrible accident with his white Land Cruiser at Nsawam. He is still alive though, he need our prayer.

    dont believe this statistics, there has to be more deaths than recorded. to see pregnant women toiling for their daily bread, under some of the harshest conditions makes me wonder, if God really exists in Ghana!!!

    Getting pregnant and going into labor is a risk! Getting pregnant in Ghana could be a death sentence! Why is nobody talking about FAMILY PLANNING? Free maternal care did not help....as the evidence shows.

    These statistics could be believable if they were wholly scientific.Does the writer know that some of the reported cases of new born deaths also include,largely, stolen babies?

    as a nurse I belief educating women,particularly, those in the hinterlands, the importance of prenatal care will go a long way to solve this problem

    The statistics should be analysed carefully to determine where and why these deaths are occurring.

    This would inform policy and allow appropriate action to be taken to reduce maternal and newborn mortality.
