Good news to hear from Bongo and wish to commend the District Director of Health services and her team for the very good work.
I am however disappointed with the citation and microwave ovens given to the best Community Health Officer and Midwife. Is that the best the district can do to motivate such symbols of gallant working staff? can't the Assembly do any thing more to motivate others? The Hon. DCE must wake-up to the challenge and do something better to motivate such hard working staff. For me the prizes given the two hard working staff only demonstrates the level of financial constraints the district health directorate is faced with. I am sure they would have loved to do more for these gallant workers but for the lack of funds. I therefore wish to use this medium to call on the District Assembly and all well meaning citizens especially from the Bongo district to take up the challenge and sustain the gains made by motivating and supporting the district health management team to do more. A life lost through maternal birth is one too many and too much to entertain. I also call on GHS Regional and Nations offices to come out and celebrate Bongo Health Management & team for the very good work done. These are the workers to celebrate! Bravo!
