    The US and other countries have banned DDT but it is still used in Africa. The DDT that is applied to crops in Africa ends up in the polar bears and other animals in Antarctica and elsewhere.

    Pouring DDT into the rivers is one way of fishing in Ghana. The poisoned fish will be springing and gasping to reveal where they are hiding.
