Sub-Saharan African countries are not committed to ending maternal deaths. Governments know that skilled delivery care is the ultimate way of solving this problem, but they are dragging their legs. I don't just know whether they delight in hearing that Sub-Saharan countries are leading in maternal deaths, so that they can use that to solicit for funds abroad, which will in the end not be channeled to the right use. God should save Africa.
