There is no need for somebody to select cancer patients to benefit from that Fund because the money belongs to the State not Mahama. The name Mahama Care is even deceptive.If the National Health Insurance thinks cancer patients should be treated free of charge under the scheme it should announce it publicly.The current arrangements where somebody has to recommend cancer patients for free treatment can be abused by politicians.Some people can also be discriminated against in a country where the political party one belongs to is used as a yardstick in the public service.
