Based on what Blackson has been saying about UGMC, I can relate because I had a similar experience there. Although the hospital has modern facilities and an impressive environment, I found the quality of service disappointing.
In my experience, some of the healthcare staff appeared more focused on administrative and financial processes than on patient care. At times, it felt as though patients' needs were not given the urgency and compassion they deserved. I believe there is room for significant improvement in customer service and patient-centered care.
From my own experience, I found hospitals such as Korle Bu, the 37 Military Hospital, and Ridge Hospital to provide a better overall patient experience. I was particularly impressed by Dodowa Hospital, where I found the doctors and nurses to be caring, respectful, and committed to treating patients with dignity and compassion.
This reflects my personal experience, and I hope that UGMC will continue to improve its service delivery so that its excellent facilities are matched by equally high standards of patient care.

This is my personal experience and opinion.
My experience at UGMC was one of the most painful experiences of my life. I felt that the quality of care I received did not meet my expectations. From my interactions, I believed that some nurses, doctors, and administrative staff lacked the compassion, urgency, and patient-centered care that every person deserves.
I went to the hospital seeking treatment, but I eventually underwent an amputation. As a result, I am now living with a disability. This has completely changed my life, and the emotional and physical impact has been overwhelming. I cannot describe how painful it is to walk into a hospital expecting to recover and instead leave with a life-changing disability.
I also found the cost of services to be very high. While UGMC has impressive facilities and a modern environment, I believe that excellent infrastructure should be matched by excellent patient care, compassion, communication, and professionalism.
I sincerely hope the hospital's management reviews patients' experiences and continues to improve the quality of care and customer service. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and empathy, regardless of their background or financial situation.
My hope is that no one else has to endure an experience like mine. I share my story not out of hatred, but in the hope that it encourages improvements that will benefit future patients.
