This is so serious .We need more trained paramedics then .One hardly sees a CPR/FIRST AID at the sight of an accident in Ogyakrom.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL DEPUTY MINISTER.
This is a country trying to to woo investors and tourists and you publicly say we have only 8 paramedics. That’s a scare to the outside world. Such issues should be addressed privately and a solution found to deal with it. Who as a tourist will like to visit Gh when there’re only 8 paramedics in the country ? This is quite shameful and it accounts for the high mortality rate in Gh. I am sure she may even leave the ministry after four years when the situation is probably the same or moderately solved. One V8 importation can train about 10 paramedics.

You can add more to the list.

Reduce food prices and transportation fare. How can a young person pay rent, buy decent food, and transportation to work when they are paid 2000ghc salary ? How ?

With so many nurses in Ghana, why not recruit nurses to become paramedics? Also, the country should have no problem providing needed ambulances for all the regions if the thievery and looting were seriously tackled. The country has become a revolving door of political corruption and looting, with opposition party loudmouths complaining about the thievery engaged in by the party in power. Then once voters elect the Opposition into office, the looting just keep moving on at the hands of new party colours. Allow private businesses and hospitals to import ambulances and necessary supplies tax free.

I urge all Ghanaians /Africans to watch the YouTube channel called "Bantucitydiaries". It's a channel which spells out intellectually why we Africans are lagging behind as people. This channel is worth watching.

There was an event that I attended with my children, my nephews and nices.
At the even of the event some soft drinks were distributed. One of my nephews fell down, a Fanta bottle in his hand got broken and he had a pib cut in his lower arm.
Luckily for me, there were five medical officers at the event. One of them said Kwame the child should not bleed, then get invested, put your tomb on the injury and I shall tell you when to remove it, then he can be send to the hospital.
I put my tomb on the the cut for about five minutes. By the time I removed it there was no blood. I told him to hold the cut with his other hand. He did so. We went to the hospital to have the wound stitched.
I got home from work and my mother was seating in a pile of rubbish. I asked what was the matter. She said that she has broken her leg. I instructed her not to move.
I got some flat wood about two inches, cut it into four, carefully remove the leg under her, placed the wood around it and use a bandage to put the foot in place before sending her to the Korlebu Teaching Hospital, Accra.
There are a lot of nurses in Ghana and I am sure that the basic health treatment they were thought is first aid.
