In a proper civilisation, the Police Hospital and the 2nd Hospital would pay millions in lawsuits for their corrupt No Bed Practices. Because the patient didn’t require a bed! He needed emergency medical attention. The Emergency Ward is not a Bedding Facility. So he could have been taken care of for a few hours on a stretcher or taken to the theatre for stabilisation. That probably could have saved his life. They refused to admit him, not just over a bed. The Young Man’s family would probably have been able to get him to a private hospital after initial treatment in the Emergency Room. In civilised countries, we see neatly laid mobile beds and stretchers at the very entrance, ready and waiting. So it’s never question of no bed. Emergency help must be provided even if all wards are full.

This is criminal and those who refused to admit the gentle man must be sacked and prosecuted. The irony is that, on the same day, the minister of education Haruna Iddrisu and another person were involved in an accident. They were airlifted to 37 and a bed was provided. Is Haruna Iddrisu more of a human being than the 29-year-old guy? Are we in the animal farm where some are more equal than others? The politicians enjoy all kids of privileges while the taxpayer suffers. Why??? Is this the reset NDC promised? Why should a Joung man die because there are no beds at the hospitals? This is very sad. Reset, my foot!!!

Wake up Ghana. What use are we putting our youth to? We erect huge tents to make music, eat and dance in them. The talk is too much. Employ our technical training youth to make hospital beds. Convert those tents into hospital wards. Employ more nurses to man them. There should be no more dancing in tents until no bed syndrome is over. Funny even common beds can become a syndrome in a civilized society like ours; if not because of chopchop importing them instead of making them ourselves.
