These are things that makes me sad. Instead of improving our health system and make some of these treatments affordable they're busy looting state funds through ghost projects. These politicians and their relatives can afford quality medical treatment overseas, so don't care about the pains of masses.

A whole country not able to afford common dialysis for its young people. Very sad. Yet the leaders have money to lead extravagant lifestyle

Why has Ghana reduced herself into a laughing stock across the world in this manner.? Poor Nigerian states of Katsina, Gombe, Adamawa, Maiduguri, Sokoto provide free dialicis, Ghanaians resort to empty rhetoric with disgraceful endless shameful talks about dialicis and keeps siting examples from the Western countries while a country nearby has made efforts to save the problems of dialicis. Ghana with their empty pride will never see Nigeria as a country Ghana can seek assistance how they got it done with. Lagos state is even providing dialicis at a discount rate that calls for no complaints from patients. Why has Ghana reduced themselves to empty talkative when others are getting right. Very disgraceful indeed.

The state funds used for the wasted national cathedral could have done wonders in our health sector. When you have visionless leaders like Nanabawu you perish and eventually die.

We have A MAD PRESIDENT who is so stupid to spend over $58 million dollars just to dig an empty hole in the ground to breed mosquitoes. So, why should I not curse that Kyebi lunatic chimpanzee?

Let any problem crop up and the solution is an instant chorus of "the funds for the National Cathedral" could've been used. Does it not click in anyone's mind that paying free allowances paid to nursing trainees could be the cause of the lack of some essential medical equipment in our state hospitals? Free nursing training must be enough. Stop the free allowances which are indeed the payment of bribe to nursing trainees to induce them. Leave the National Cathedral alone and let's talk realistically about the free nursing allowances which drain the national coffers.

In advanced countries a dialysis patient is categorized as a person with disability and the government pays for their treatment. It is so pathetic that our leaders seek treatment abroad with the taxpayer money but those on dialysis are made to pay for their treatment. All what our leaders know is to steal from the public purse . Ghana has the resources to factor dialysis into the insurance scheme but our clueless leaders only think about themselves and their families. The system is working in other countries why not Ghana?

It's such a pity to have a callous elite without empathy. In fact, they don't even know what the word means. The whole medical profession too must be blamed for this lack of any semblance of the Hippocratic Oath in their training and profession. If the doctors and nurses insist that the cost is borne by the state, there is no way the politicians can refuse, callous, greedy, uncivilised bastards without conscience though they are.
