The terrible living conditions the government is subjecting medical laboratory professionals to is tantamount to modern day slavery. We contribute enormously to Healthcare delivery. On top of my head lemme explain just five reasons medical laboratory professionals needs condition of service
1. Job Security: A well-defined condition of service provides medical laboratory professionals with a sense of job security, outlining terms of employment, including the duration of contracts, and criteria for renewal or termination.
2. Workplace Safety: Conditions of service address safety protocols, ensuring that medical laboratory professionals have a safe working environment, proper protective measures, and guidelines for handling hazardous materials to minimize occupational risks.
3. Fair Compensation: Clearly defined conditions of service specify the salary structure, benefits, and allowances, ensuring that medical laboratory professionals are fairly compensated for their skills, expertise, and the demanding nature of their work.
4. Career Progression: Professionals in medical laboratories benefit from conditions of service that outline opportunities for career development, including training programs, promotions, and advancement pathways, fostering a sense of growth and fulfillment in their careers.
5. Work-Life Balance: Conditions of service may include provisions for reasonable working hours, leave policies, and considerations for maintaining a healthy work-life balance, promoting the overall well-being of medical laboratory professionals.
I know this country so well that the 14 days ultimatum shall be due and nothing will done unless a strike.
