New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist Alfred Ababio Kumi, popularly known as Adenta Kumi, has said that he will deal spiritually with any member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who troubles him.

Speaking to the media during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) "Democracy Under Attack Demonstration" on August 6, 2026, he said he had taken steps to protect himself and had submitted names of people he believes should be held responsible if anything happens to him.

'If NDC takes 100 of our girls, we will take 500 of theirs' - NPP's Adenta Kumi warns

“I have gone to my hometown. I have even submitted names if anything happens to me. All those involved and their descendants will be wiped away,” he said.

He warned that he would not take what he described as attacks against him lightly, adding that he would respond through spiritual means.

“We (NPP) won’t take it lightly. If we handle it physically and you don’t like it, we will tackle the issue spiritually. If you have power in the physical realm, so we will also handle it spiritually,” he added.

Kumi’s comments come after he was arrested in May 2025 following a petition he submitted to President John Mahama calling for the dissolution of the committee investigating the removal petition against former Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.

He had accused members of the committee of misconduct, alleging that their actions could affect the credibility of the process.
