The Asanteman Association of the Washington Metro Area has members of diverse educational and professional backgrounds. The outgoing Asantefuohene, Otafrebuo Nana Agyenim Boateng, is an accountant and Chief Financial Officer of a major organization in Maryland. The new Asantefuohene, Nana Kwame Darko has advanced university degrees and a retired officer of Verizon Corporation. I myself, a long-standing member of the association, did my PhD program at Stanford University in Engineering Systems and Operations Research.
Please disabuse your mind that appreciating your culture equates to illiteracy!
