Although not very active these days in DUUK, I am solidly behind the aims and aspirations of our organisation. As I said in the initial formation of our organisation in 2012, we started this organisations way back but we did not succeed in making it flourish but this time it will go a long way. The group's What's up chart is also an indication of our friendliness. May Allah keep us going and going and going till we pass the baton to our children. Long live DUUK.

The author of the post (whom i know) is one of the elders and pillars of the union who has contributed both in cash and in kind to the development. I really don't want to give specific examples to his personal contribution.

I think the members are naive to think that they can inculcate their cultural belief and practice into their children. Ghanaian culture does not mesh well with western beliefs that their children have absolved living in UK. Trying to force their beliefs on their children could lead to conflicts and resentments.
