  Just hit the programms. How much does it cost to mobalise secondary and tertiary students on week ends to go round to plant seeds in the neighborhood to bring back the earth as it was before uncalculated industralisation on Africa soil land masses. All those erosional barren spaces could be covered with trees and some grass to beautify the cities again.

  Sit on the beach at Teshie and you will see the black plastic bags and sache water plastic the sea is rejecting and sending back offshore. Go to Ahafo Kenyasi where the Galamsey crowd still openly ply their trade and see how polluted are the rivers there. Stop by any of the open gutters in Accra and observed how they are choked with plastics of all shades and types. Carry out a simple test of soil samples from our agricultural areas and see how polluted they are with weed killers and pesticides. Go through the markets of the so-called home used appliances and electronics markets in Ghana and see what a dumping ground Ghana has become. Noise pollution from some of the so-called churches, uncontrolled burning of tires and plastics in the middle of our cities, pollution gushing out of cars which are not serviced, pollution from the mega generators and gigantic 4-wheel drive vehicles of government officials are all occurrences to which the so-called Environment Ministry is a passive bystander. Now tell me, do we have a Minister of Environment and what are his functions?

Congratulate Minister Ayarigah and his team for a work done on this climate rebirth efforts. They should not forget to involve CSOs in their attempts to solve environmental problems in Ghana.   Totally meaningless report. Whoever wrote this useless report trying to impress Accra that work is being done at the this rotten perfectly useless outfit called Ghana's Permanent Mission to the UN! Ayiriga, Mahama, Mumuni, Puribi, Fuseini, Memuna etc and all the names ending in vowels do not impress anybody anywhere on the world stage. Their body of work speaks for themselves.
