It is we in Ghana who can truthfully comment on the issue of the voters register. Yes the NPP has made various claims and which claims are being considered. The EC in its wisdom has put up a much more interactive forum for people to come and state their views on the said voters register. VRious political parties and civil society organizations have come tomstate their views on the proposals of the NPP and from the look of things, apart from NPP and NDP who happen to be insistent on the change of the voters register, all at the forum were of the view that the voters register must remain so but efforts made to have it cleaned up. Why is it that to the the NPP, when they say something, it must be done at all cost. Who tells them they are more important and sensible than thenrestmof Ghanains. The other day, wven after they had present d all that they will have to, they organized their pro-pressure group,
Let My Vote Count Alliance to heat up the political temperature, and in the process, a certain Justice was meted out the highest injustice by losing one of his eyes. The saddest part of it was that this Let My Vote Count people were not at the EC forum because they sent no position paper. Now the NPPmseeing that they have miserably lost it are taking to Britain.
