He was just having his usual adultrous relationship.
Why should the Church allow him to preach? That is why the church does not see too much God's influence in the lives of its members. These hypocrites who do thier own things in their private lives and tell us different thing on pulpit. God can never be mocked. Adulterous man is always adulterous man.
Maxwell Kusi has been living this secrete life for long time without the knowledge of the Church. It is God Almight who hates hypocrites uncover this adulterous man. He should be ashamed of himself for using church money for all these personal trips to Ghana for his cars, guns sales and his adulterous lifestyle.
We don't see God's influence in the lives of Christians because of such hypocrite pastors.If this disgraced man want to preach now, he should go and preach to the women he has had adulterous relationship with.
The corrupt pastors he helped to recruit for the such will invite him to their pulpit to help him redeem himself.If this corrupt pastor thinks he is changed man, he should sell his numerous houses he has built in Ghana and give the proceeds to the church.He cheated the church and its hardworking tithes payers to build those houses and his business.
I am glad that some COP members in Atlanta walked out when that pastors was appealing to members to give him money. Everywhere he goes people should walk out on him. In that way, the corrupt pastors will learn a lesson.

Quiet recently, the church authorities have learnt that a presiding elder in a local church at Trenton District has embezzled thousand of dollars that belong to a newly formed church. We are trying to find out the facts in this case very well. What we have learnt is that some elders protested to the pastor, who sent that elder to be presiding elder to New Brunswick Assembly that; the elder has such problems. That, the elder is not trustworthy to entrust an assembly into his care. The pastor ignore all those warnings and sent that elder to be presiding elder The church authorities should contact that presiding elder to find out how he embezzled such huge amount within less that two year period. That pastor has a lot of questionable characters. A pastor who has divorced his wife and remarried another woman. How can he be effective in settling marital matters in the church?
Members must be begin to talk. We can not allow some crook pastors run our church like one man church.
If Maxwell Kusi is demoted from Apostle to pastor, then will the church demote such elders to deacons? Children of God, let us pray hard for our church, for some wolves have entered in our midst.

We have some pastors whose aim is to make money in the church. The church must guide against that greediness. The church should make it a policy that, pastors of COP are not allowed to engage in business. Any pastor who wants to do business should leave. The door is opened for them to leave and do their business and still remain as members of COP. I think, this is simple.
Such corrupt pastors always want ignorant financial secretaries to help them carry on thier corrupt activities. They always frustrate genuine and uncorrupted Financial secretaries, and in the end, the good financial secretaries quit the job.

everybody body travel outside to seek greener pastures, better life for the family, achieve educational and career goals but this man offered himself to the call of the gospel. It is through him leadership and sacrifice and contribution that the COP is what it is today in the US.

I don't think Maxwell Kusi is an example for anybody in the church. Rather, he is nightmare for our youth and members of Chuch of Pentecost. Some pastors take their District as their personal church, and run the church like one man church. God is still in his Church. Those pastors who are selling ministerial services as posts will be uncovered and be sacked.
Maxwell Kusi should have been sacked from the church. He may be ahanged person now. Nevertheless, the church should have fired him to serve as deterrant to other corrupt pastors.
We love our church church (COP) and we will continue to pray for the church for God to clean out those corrupt pastors, who have joined Church of Pentecost because of money.

My friend, you shouldn't frivilous to describe the decision Executive Council has taken. Some of our pastors are corrupt. All what they are interested in is money. They don't visit the members, the call membersand they are disattached to members problems.Pastors will only call members to attend church service only when there is an impending special offering.

For the council to come up with this kind of demotion I was expecting an in depth explanation of the reasons why he was demoted. And for the love of Christ aren't we Christians don't we know how to forgive? Atta, send the famous Anas to the Executive Council and you will see the kind of dirt he will come up with on Council members. I know a Council member high up there who took about $40,000 cash to Ghana with the help of an Elder who was then flying with him. The money was not declared at customs (which is illegal). Where was the money from? The coffers of the Church. What was the money for? For other Executive members in Ghana. A way of pleasing them to make sure that when he retires he will be well cared for. The circular is as clear as day light(refer to what you posted yourself).to wit"... for poor interpersonal relationship and unguarded utterances". Check the history of COP, you will know Pastor Kusi is not the first to be disciplined for the reasons stated above.He, having to retire in a month or two is neither here nor there. If you are even left with two weeks to retire and you commit say a crime or an act of infraction then Koojo by your reasoning you should not be disciplined because you are left with only two weeks to retire. How funny.
Koojo why have you remained quiet all these years when other pastors have been disciplined for similar infractions if you are now talking about forgiveness. It shows your bias and hypocrisy . When others were disciplined you remained quiet except for Pastor Kusi case why?. If you believe your $ 40,000 story is authentic and that some wrong has been done, I challenge you to report it. Go to the COP head office period. Anas will have nothing to uncover within the Executive of the COP.I challenge you to send Anas yourself.
