I know of people who might think they are doing good things, when all they are doing is to take care of their personal interests and those of other members of their party and not those of the nation. They will fight to stay in power until the nation has been properly raped. They know that they can fan tribal sentiments in their favour in elections and with that knowledge they are assured of full strangling power over the nation and no one can raise a finger.That's the present position of Mahama. He condones corruption and looks upon it with insouciance. It might have to do with his upbringing or with the general nature of the people of his native area. In all his government, you see a lot of effeminacy which in turn feeds the absence of probity on his part. And yet he thinks he is doing his best for the country. Such a judgement may be based on how his own close family is doing.
