They cannot be accused of corruption if a satisfied client shows appreciation for their assistance. Ambassador Smith have you tried using the system ? I have been to the High Commission twice within the last 9 months to apply for a visa to Ghana. On both occasions I have observed that your staff at the security post is quiet unwelcoming to visitor. He does not depict the welcoming and warm nature of Ghanaian people. He is rude, abrupt and unfriendly. Generally the staff at the counter are helpful and nice. I don't believe that they are corrupt.

I.e. as emergent as Ghana is, how come its embassy can't have a standard switchboard that is manned and responsive to the diaspora's inquiries? for over 30 years, the idea that phone calls from the diaspora to the Ghanaian embassy should not be answered and that no effort should be put into to fix it puzzles me as it is the only embassy in the corridor comfortable with this insane practice. No other embassy ignores its citizens phone calls compares to the Ghanaian. I want this to change and responsibility be assigned.

The customer service girls were the best I have spoken to in any African embassy here in the UK. Come on guys let's give praise where praise is due. We always want to destroy our own.

I have used the system just like you and is nothing to write home about. Is a nine page web front the best the mission able to offer ? Is stapling photos on the application form the best? Are the applications not processed manually? Is the High Commission not issuing hand written visas? Are receipts not hand written? Don't try fooling anybody because the staff go through hell writing all those visas only to be labelled corrupt.The staff are doing a good job under the circumstances without proper tools. Praise will be given where it is due if the mission make things easy rather than call them corrupt.
