IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR DEAR "OLUPO"
“All is quiet, the wind has lost its speech, darkness has swallowed the moon, and the moon is no more, and the well which was always full of water has dried up. Wailing can be heard from far and near but we shall not weep for your death but we will consider beyond the dark clouds this day 9th December 2013, as one of the darkest in our lives, indeed A MGHTY TREE HAS FALLEN”. Mr Michael Kumah Nutakor aka "Oldpo" is no more. Mr Nutakor used to tell me that “Life is worth living, Life is worth appreciating, life is not and must not always be linked to the acquisition of properties or physical assets but supporting others in need, if you are not blessed with that strength you have to wait for his time but the important gift about life is that it must be fulfilling, satisfying, rewarding, and above all it must impact positively on others”. That is how I can sum up his life. Mr Nutakor aka "Oldpo" had a positive impact on me. He was a friend, a father to me and we shared many happy memories when in Ghana. We had a man to man talk in his backyard garden and we shared and spoke about how my family was and how life was treating me in the diaspora. The late Mr Nutakor also took a very keen interest in what I did as a professional and appreciated my visits to him at his humble home at Ahinsan estates. We have had very blessed and happy moments together as friend and father and I am grateful for the opportunity of knowing him so well. My sincere sympathy goes to his dearest wife and our mother our dear "Oldmo", the entire Nutakor family home and abroad, his friends, and his dearest children – Efo Dee, Sister Lebene, Amey, Worlali, Ganyo, Edem, and Lydia. Take great consolation in the good book which admonishes us to be kind, loving, caring and above all giving and your father exemplified such qualities and he gave us so much to look for in life. The only befitting tribute to me comes from eccelciasis chapter three which literally states that ‘there is time for everything, a time to be happy and a time to be sad, a time to be born and a time to die’. "Oldpo" has fought a good fight; he has served his maker and it’s time for him to give accounts of his stewardship to his maker. Mr Nutakor, your dearest wife "Oldmo" is very heart broken; she is saying that the bed she has shared with you for many years will be very cold for a very long time. Fare thee well my dearest husband. "Oldpo" your children are saying where will they find that unconditional love you shared with them? In whom shall they find peace and love? Have a peaceful rest, and may God be with you till we meet again. Your in-laws are saying thank you for your love, kindness and concern for them. Have a peaceful rest.
