You guys have lost focus. If you need way to eliminate your obesity, go to gym. It is healthier than this unnessary measure with no reward. Ghana is resolving any issues in accordance to the constitution.

This group appears to be an appendage of the NPP which failed to see the stark poverty many Ghanaians were experiencing during the Rawlings and Kuffuor governments. This is a group with a political agenda aimed at embarrassing the party in power. I'm politically neutral but I find the actions of this group to be shameful and clueless. Please stop embarrassing yourselves! You'll serve Ghana better by calling this purposeless strike off. Shame on you all.

These (9)nine people (among many Ghanaians in Ireland) who call themselves, 'PLATFORM FOR CONCERNED GHANAIANS IN IRELAND' must remember that 'Mahama-led government has been in existence for barely (4)four months. During this period, there has been challenges:
i) The pipeline which carried gas from
Nigeria to Aboadze, near Inchaban
thermal plant for electricity
generation for Ghana got damaged by ship between Benin and Togo culminating in shortage of electricity, not on only in Ghana but Benin and Togo, as well.
ii) There have been countless labour strikes as result of accrued arrears due sizeable number of public sector workers including doctors' - which is on going - when the Single Spine Salaries regime, introduced by Kufuor-led government, was adopted. The SSS payment itself has generated acrimonious debate among eminent economists the world over, including the IMF and the World Bank notably, its adverse consequences to the Ghanaian economy.
iii) The wrangle about the legitimacy of the NDC-Mahamah-led government which has been challenged by the NPP in the Supreme Court of Ghana - A SITUATION, I'M SURE, THE (9) PEOPLE ABOVE HAVE MUCH INTEREST IN. BUT ONE WOULD HAVE WISHED THAT THE (9)NINE MEMBER 'PLATFORM..." AND THEIR NPP FRIENDS WOULD MAKE NO SUB-JUDICE REFERENCE OF THE CASE, AND WAIT FOR THE VERDICT. THAT'S WHAT SENSIBLE PEOPLE WOULD DO AND NOT THREAT OF MAKE-BELIEVE HUNGER STRIKE WHICH NO ONE RECOGNISES OR 'BUYS'.
It seems to many people that the NPP supporters including the (9)nine people above are just fighting for their interest and not because of making Ghana better. They cannot afford to lose ruling Ghana, especially as the country is endowed with enormous wealth. They want to retrieve it by hook or by crook. So far as I'm concerned and, people can testify that, malpractices and irregularities had occurred in all the past elections since the advent of democracy in Ghana in 1992, when NPP or NDC were victors. But that one (Dec 2012 elections) has generated acrimony because of the discovery of oil and gas and other re-appraised valued natural resources. Either of the two major political parties wants to lay hands of the revenue generated from these resources to finance their greedy lifestyles and not to use it for the welfare of the people and the nation.

I returned from Ghana 2 days ago, when was the last time these "Hunger striker's" went to Ghana? These sad people are painting a dire picture of mother Ghana despite the reality on the ground. That can not be said to be patriotic by any stretch of ones imagination. Why just a 3 day hunger strike?? I would suggest that people who have historically believed in their cause have done the same until death beckons, can I suggest these disgruntled NPP party supporters do the same (hunger Strike for at least 3 months), then we will know they are serious!
Such a frivilous gimmick would only attract the disgusted sentiment of the people that it deserves. Please can you also call yourselves "NPP Sympathisers" and not the collective "Ghanaian's" as you DO NOT represent all Ghanaian views! Please don't think you can insult our intelligence!!!!

Better concentrate on your cleaning jobs and don't cry for us. This is not the only time there is hardship in Ghana. The same hardship sent you to Ireland to look for food and now that you have eaten enough and grown fat, a little hunger strike will be good for your health.
