Botswana loves Ghana and I know that for sure. My step-father was the Attorney General in Botswana for a long time and their Chief Justice at the time was also Ghanaian so I know this love for things Ghanaian is genuine.

Also Botswana has done a far better job than Ghana at getting the best for their country from their natural resources discovery and so I am very sure they will help push Azonto all the way.
Way to go for Aricans helping Africans.

Do you call it piracy or indiscriminate exploitation when we in Ghana dance to any of those?
Can you tell which of them was patented? The answer is none - simply because none of them is an intellectual property but a rather "cultural identity" just like Adowa is cultural to Akans, Kpanlogo to GaDangbe, Agbadza to Ewes etc.

What is our politicians doing about this dance? I suggestion they should find a way to get the patent rights for it. Ghana stands to benefit economically from this dance. Where are the trade/ tourism, culture, foreign and finance doing? Ghana should take a cue from the Makarina (South American dance moves from the 90's). We lost it when Sarkodie could not bring this dance moves to world/USA during the BET awards. All that he needed was a 20-30 seconds on the big stage. The Ghana embassy in Washington and the permanent mission in New York goofed up big time. They could have helped lobby the big wigs in the pop culture/ minority power houses in the USA to help bring the dance / Sarkodie on stage. That was viable but nobody helped. All that they know is big speeches, no action.
