This is America where immigrants built a great nation for you and I to come and be who we are. Do not forget, you becoming an America citzen will never change your root. We have New England in New York linked to the people of England I believe), New Mexico ( in the west and a street named as Amsterdam Av in NY (But this is not Amsterdam or Holland). Why not be proud to have an African word used to identify an organization in America? What kind of Africans are we in America.
