RESOLUTION: FORMATION OF NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC) CANADA ADOPTED BY: ALL BRANCHES OF NDC-CANADA AT ITS FIRST CONGRESS HELD IN MONTREAL, QC, CANADA ON JULY 28, 2007 SUBMITTED TO: NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC) SUBMITTED BY: FREDERICK TAY, THE GENERAL SECRETARY

WE THE MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC), LIVING IN CANADA RECOGNIZING the situation of need to have a chapter of National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Canada as it exists in all sovereign countries around the world,

REAFFIRMING, the vision of the founding fathers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to build a better Ghana devoid of poverty and lack of basic needs of the people,

COMMENDING, the efforts made by the North American Coordinating Council (NACC) comprising of party representatives in Canada and United States of America in coordinating the affairs of the N.D.C party in North America for all these years,

STRESSING, the need to help mobilize and tap all human and natural resources as well as encourage grassroots participation of the party by forming chapters in all the provinces in Canada, STRESSING FURTHER, that Canada is a sovereign country that deserves to have her own chapter, REAFFIRMING, our full support for the agenda of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), its flag bearer and her timing supporters all over the world, HAVING, met in Montreal, Quebec on Saturday July 28, 2007, hereby:

1. DECIDES, unanimously to establish National Democratic Congress (NDC), Canada Chapter;

2. DEMANDS, that with the formation of this body, all activities of the party would be coordinated from within Canada by NDC Canada;

3. ELECTED AND MANDATED, the following people as Interim Executives to steer the affairs of the party and to work towards the inauguration of the Party in Canada.

Mr. Kofi Sordzi ---Chairman

Mr. Obed Adore ---Vice Chairman

Mr. Frederick Tay ---General Secretary

Mr. Gilbert Kwesi Adjei ---Organizing Secretary

Mrs. Stella Oduro Bonsu ---Treasurer

Mr Kwesi Nuamah ---Financial Secretary

Mr. Charles N. Nkansah ---Propaganda Secretary

Mr. Samuel Robertson( Nii) ---Publicity Officer

Mrs. Eunice Danso Amegbe ---Women Organizer

Ms. Bridget Amegashitsi --- Women Organizer

4. CALLS, on all members of the party to deal with this body as it is the official mouthpiece of NDC members in Canada;

5. STRESSES, the need for unity, within the party and wish to assure all members and supporters that this body would work hand in hand with our counterparts in the United States of America, Europe and other parts of the world to ensure victory in 2008 elections and beyond;

6. WELCOMES AND LOOKS FORWARD, to our cordial working relationship with our counterparts in the United States as we existed under North American Coordinating Council (NACC)

7. FURTHER WELCOMES, every NDC supporter and admirers resident here in Canada to join our folk in working towards a formidable and winning party in the 2008 elections and beyond;

8. EXPRESSES, our deep appreciation to all who have in one way or the other made this collective vision a reality;

9. DECIDES, to remain actively seized on our vision to build a formidable party and a better Ghana for us all. Long Live NDC, Long Live Ghana, Eye Zu Eye Za, Eme Fa Mia Mia Mia.
