CPP Shakes London Again

... With Its Message of Hope

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) last Friday took its “CPP Roadshow” to the Golden Stool Restaurant, Stamford Hill, London. The newly refurbished restaurant hosted the CPP’s “Go to the People” campaign and saw a huge crowd add to the usual customer numbers.

Akomfrah, Ossei, Oduro-Kwateng, Alhaji Abbas, Frimpong-Manso, Nana Afua Sarpong, Sebo, Kusi-Mensah, Mercy Akosa, Osei Bempa, Atta-kesson, Nana Bonsu, were some of the big CPP names there.

There were also members of the media among the scores of Ghanaians and CPP members and sympathizers who gathered as friends of Nkrumah to listen to the CPP’s message of hope.

There was food, drink and music, but also a serious message. “The NPP are capitalists with no money and spend Ghana state money to enrich themselves and their friends”; “The NPP’s property owning philosophy means a few get rich while the many get poorer”, said Mr. Bright Oduro –Kwateng in an address to the numbers gathered .” A CPP government would focus heavily on education and meaningful employment for the youth, we will make it possible for the youth to dream and realize their ambitions in the country of their birth” Mr Oduro-Kwateng said.

In an interview with Radio Afrik from the scene Nii Armah Akomfrah told the media “we are returning to our roots , we are going to the people, finding out what their needs are, learning from them, get them behind us, and with the people of Ghana behind us the CPP will be returned to Government “ Mr Akomfrah said further that “we realize that the bigger battle is in Ghana but wherever there are Ghanaians, it is important to reach them with the CPP message” The CPP’s strategy of taking the message to Ghanaians at their places of enjoyment began at Garden City Restaurant in April when special guest Prof. Agyeman Badu Akosa, brought the house down, and wowed Ghanaians with a very powerful message of hope.

The CPP’s message to the ground amidst the dancing and eating was “After nearly 7 years, this NPP Government is showing its incompetence daily, it is showing that it is a government of ineptitude, lacking ideas and cannot be entrusted with the management of the country any longer, it has proved a worse socio-economic manager than its corrupt NDC predecessor”.

“The NPP is hopelessly divided and focused on itself rather than the country and continues to squander the country’s resources” . Forward Ever! Backward Never!
