Eyes on the Ground: Danger looms as Bole-Bamboi road stretch caves in

Possible danger awaits passengers and drivers who ply an eroded stretch of road between Nugoyele and Bole in the Northern Region.

The nature of the disastrous road, if abandoned, could lead to the loss of lives, especially at night and anytime the rain falls.

A resident of the area who could no longer hide his fears described how badly the situation is affecting them to GhanaWeb.

He said, drivers always had to swerve the damaged side by veering off onto the other side of the road during the day.

“This stretch of bad road is between Nugoyele and Bole. This is a death trap and an accident waiting to happen. If rain falls and it’s unfortunate enough to happen at night, it will be something else. If its day time drivers see it and avoid it,” he stated.

The devastating nature of the road requires immediate attention from the government and other relevant institutions as it continues to serve millions of travelers in the country.

Not forgetting the fact that heavy-duty tracks also use the already damaged road every day.
